06 Forest Service Road-Sawtooth Trail

The 06 Forest Service road is a Fire Road that travels up and over Mount Watson and eventually drops into Tahoe City.  Along the road there are single tract rails, most notably the Sawtooth trail.  This entire trails system is just a mile and a half from our shop.  Take Palisades to Silver Fir go right on Silver Fir, Left on Thelin and the 06 is on the right. *There is no parking allowed on neighborhood streets November- May.

Emmigrant Trail

Winter Trekking

The Emmigrant trail is a classic single tract trail just north of town.  This beautiful trail rolls through meadows and forest for 8 miles to Stampede reservoir.  This trail is a mix of open views and forested areas.  To get there take HWY 89 north towards Sierraville about 4 miles out of town and turn right on Hobart Mills road.  The parking area is immediately to the right.

Donner Lake Rim Trail

Donner Lake rim trail is a beautiful single tract trail that has gorgeous views and entertaining terrain.  This trail climbs up the south side of Tahoe Donner and connects to several trails that include Johnson Canyon and the Tahoe Donner Glacier way trailhead.  This trail is a short bike ride from our shop and a great option for an adventure in the shoulder season.
